Magnetic Island

Magnetic Island is often underrated... until you spend some time there! Over 50% of the island is National Park, and home to the largest koala sanctuary in Australia. Koalas are elusive little cuties, and this may be your best chance to see them in the wild. Feeding rock wallabies and catching the sun setting back over Australia from West Point beach are all on the agenda. Rent a mini 4WD between some mates and go exploring for the day - it's the best and coolest way to get around. Radical Beach a close walk from the accommodation is one of the best swimming beaches on the island.
